Work Based Learning

We are committed to providing learning opportunities to help people achieve their potential. This includes work based learning for young people and adults.

Working within the repair and maintenance team, adult trainees complete a practical placement which develops their skills and confidence. Trainees also develop other employment related skills such as team working, problem solving and time management.

School pupils attend in small groups to complete practical accredited units. Some students return for longer placements within the repair and maintenance team.

These opportunities serve as a link into formal training with other providers and improve longer-term employment prospects.

Some of our staff team have overcome personal challenges in their own lives and have a unique understanding of tackling disadvantage. They are excellent role models for others to learn from.
