On Sunday 7th May Pembroke Street became Coronation Street when celebrations were held to mark the crowning of King Charles. There was a big turnout from local residents and the weather was great.

Preparations had begun several weeks earlier when Pembroke Street residents came together to create a unique commemorative flag which took pride of place hanging amongst the bunting and other colourful decorations. The party preparations were filmed by BBC Spotlight.

The street party featured food and drink, bouncy castle, party games along with music and entertainment from Dolly Mixture.
