The Plymouth National Marine Park (NMP) is a National Lottery Heritage funded project to help conserve the Plymouth coastline and engage more local people to enjoy their waterfront. Mount Wise is one of the focal points. The EMB have been working with the NMP to explore what activities might be popular. Some of these have focused on young people such as providing free swimming lessons and life saving skills to help keep young people safe in and around the waterfront.
Recently, NMP made 3000 tickets available to community groups to distribute to local residents. Lots of Pembroke Street residents took the opportunity to take up this free offer.
